ELECTRIC VEHICLE - JAKARTA. The government of Indonesia is offering incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles. Starting from March 20, 2023, a subsidy of IDR 7 million per unit will be available for electric motorcycles, while the purchase of new electric cars and buses will be subsidized from April 1, 2023.
According to Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, this policy aims to increase access to electric vehicles for the public and encourage investment in the domestic electric vehicle industry. "This policy can attract battery-based electric motor vehicle (KBLBB) manufacturers to strengthen the industry and factories," said Minister Luhut on Monday, March 20.
