KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited has become the talk of the town after the Hong Kong-based company is rumored to be investing a substantial amount in Rempang Island. The issuer listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is set to focus on developing an integrated solar panel glass industry ecosystem.
Xinyi will begin the construction of this ecosystem, starting from silica sand processing to the production of solar panel glass and polysilicon. Xinyi is reportedly ready to pour an investment of US$ 11.6 billion, assuming the absorption of labor reaches 35,000 people.
