KPK Discovers Billions in Unpaid Loans and Potential State Losses in Toll Road
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has highlighted several weaknesses in the governance and supervision of toll road development in Indonesia. One of KPK's findings was that there are 11 toll road operators who have not paid back their rolling fund loans for land procurement.
The total value of outstanding loans amounts to IDR 4.25 trillion. "There is still IDR 4.25 trillion that has not been returned by investors who are currently operating toll roads," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, Pahala Nainggolan, on Thursday (23/2).
