KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. In the past three years, the Indonesian government has been aggressively extending a number of Coal Mining Concession Work Agreements (PKP2B) whose contracts have expired. As a consequence of the contract extension, the land of the company holding the PKP2B must be cut.

Concerned that the mining land will become a bank for illegal mining actors, the government will accelerate efforts to reuse the ex-PKP2B, land. The government will prioritize state companies (BUMN) and regional companies or BUMD to get the land resulting from the reduction.
