Three State-Owned Banks, Mandiri, BRI and BNI to Manage Coal Compensation Funds
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Three State-owned banks have been appointed as Mitra Instansi Pengelola (MIP) to carry out the collection and distribution of coal compensation funds, according to Lana Saria, Director of Coal Business Development at the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The three banks selected are Mandiri, BRI, and BNI, as they have experience in financial management and have established systems in place. Saria added that Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) was not selected as it focuses more on the housing sector.
