New Joint Venture to Boost BSDE's Business and Financial Performance
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Real estate companies, Sinar Mas PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) and PT Astra Land Indonesia (ALI), have formed a joint venture named PT Ruby Karya Sejahtera. The joint venture was officially established on March 8, 2023.
According to the Director of Bumi Serpong Damai, Hermawan Wijaya, BSDE and ALI have made equity contributions to Ruby Karya Sejahtera with a basic capital of Rp 10 billion consisting of 10,000 shares with a nominal value of Rp 1 million each.

ALI holds 7,500 shares or Rp 7.5 billion, while BSDE holds 2,500 shares or Rp 2.5 billion in Ruby Karya Sejahtera.
Hermawan added that the joint venture would engage in real estate business activities, either through ownership or leasing. The establishment of the joint venture is expected to have a positive impact on the business and financial performance of BSDE.
In addition, the joint venture is not expected to have any negative impact on the operational activities, legal status, financial condition, or continuity of BSDE's business.

For information, PT Astra Land Indonesia (ALI) was established on October 14, 2016, and is a joint venture between Astra Property or PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) and Hongkong Land Ltd, with each owning 50% of the shares.
Hongkong Land Ltd is a registered investment, management, and property development group. The group owns and manages over 850,000 square meters of premium office and luxury retail properties in major Asian cities, especially in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, and Jakarta.
