Oil Surges, Yet Faces Steepest Weekly Drop Since March
KONTAN.CO.ID - New York. Oil prices rose on Friday but remained on track to post their steepest weekly losses since March, after another partial lifting of Russia's fuel export ban compounded demand fears due to macroeconomic headwinds.
On Friday, Brent futures LCOc1 edged 36 cents higher at $84.43 per barrel at 1:33 p.m. EDT (1733 GMT). U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures CLc1 were up 29 cents at $82.60.
