FINTECH - JAKARTA. The financial technology (fintech) lending industry predicts that the online loan business will continue to grow during the fasting month of Ramadan and Eid when people need more money and goods. The momentum is expected to boost the distribution of fintech lending financing. The fintech lending industry has already achieved profitability after previously recording losses.
This is the first time they have made a profit. According to the latest data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the fintech lending industry recorded a net profit of IDR 50.48 billion in January 2023. In January 2022, it recorded a loss of IDR 16.14 billion. In December 2022, the industry still recorded losses of IDR 41.05 billion.
