Rice Prices in the Indonesian Market Remain High, Rice Stocks are Worrying
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The price of rice in the market continues to rise. Various government policies, ranging from market operations, and food aid, to rice imports, have not been effective in curbing the increase in the price of this staple food.
Based on KONTAN's observations at several locations, the price of rice has not decreased. In traditional markets in Tangerang City, the price of medium rice has reached Rp 13,000-Rp 13,800 per kg. Meanwhile, the Highest Retail Price (HET) for medium rice is Rp 10,900 per kg.
