KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. State-owned construction companies in Indonesia are making continuous efforts to improve their performance amidst massive debt burdens. One of the strategies they employ is debt restructuring.

Take PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) as an example. The state-owned company has applied for debt payment deferment to several creditors. According to the financial report as of March 31, 2023, WIKA has a debt of IDR 12.64 trillion to third parties.
