Indonesian Government Bans Solar Electricity Export, Revises Rules
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will prohibit the export of solar-powered electricity. Currently, the government is revising the regulations for Rooftop Solar Power Plants (RSP). Investors perceive the investment in the development and utilization of solar energy as no longer attractive.
The revision of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 26/2021 concerning Rooftop Solar Power Plants (RSP) is nearing completion. The proposed revision has now entered the harmonization stage at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
