TikTok Records Sales of IDR 107 Billion Through Live Shopping
TikTok - JAKARTA. Sales on TikTok Shop are increasing. In August 2023, TikTok managed to break the monthly sales record in Indonesia, reaching IDR 107 billion through the Live Shopping feature.
TikTok has a variety of tools to help brands connect with creators and communities for purchases. These include TikTok Creator, Marketplace, TikTok Creative Exchange, Video Shopping Ads, and also Live Shopping Ads.
According to internal data from TikTok Shop in a press release on Monday (11/9), 1 in 3 TikTok users have purchased products through TikTok Shop. TikTok Shop is eyed due to its Shoppertainment concept (entertainment first, e-commerce second) which is attractive to many parties.

Entering its third year of operation in Indonesia, TikTok Shop again broke the sales record through the Live Shopping feature worth IDR 107 billion. This achievement was driven by collaborations between affiliates with local brands and public figures.
For information, three TikTok affiliate creators include Richard Lee as a beauty creator, Mami Louisse as the Queen of Affiliates, and Kohcun as the king of electronics.
The uniqueness of these three affiliate creators is driven by their similar personal branding, which is a passion for providing product information and reviews packaged in creative content.
TikTok management said, that in addition to encouraging creators to earn income with this TikTok Shop, it is also expected to provide comfort for all users in shopping, by providing product search features, ease of checkout process, and checking delivery in one application.
